Super cool and well made. It is perfect for a display weapon. Not made to be used as a real hatchet. Durability is suspect when not used as intended. But is thicker than usual axes and it has quite the weight to itBought as a Xmas gift for our son, avid sword and all sharp and pointy collector. It is stunning g and is a great add to his collection. It is beautiful and bad ass!solid and arrived super fast!After trying to find a way to contact the company selling these, I am unable to find any way of doing so. Therefore here goes the negative review. First thing i noticed after opening is the very poor engraving work. The images done are warped and stretched on both sides, with one side actually not done very well at all. So for those Grinding marks are present near the handle on the inside of the beard hook which looks horrible. Looking at the axe head from top down shows that the blade grind is offset and not centered, because of this I'm not going to swing it at anything. Handle wood seems to be of good quality which is one point that saves it from being 1 star. The leather wrapping is done with cheap upholstery type leather, bad but bearable. The lanyard would be better off not being there as its of the same quality leather and being about 2 1/2 foot long is a little much. The axe frog that comes with it is the only slightly better quality than the overall axe and this combined with the wood of the handle. It is a weak 2 STAR product. Will post pics when i can get them uploaded. Right along with this axe being sent back. I may be an amature but i can do better myself.Beautiful craftsmanship, this is the real deal. Gorgeous woodwork and leather wrapping and sheath. Laser engraved axe head fits nicely with my Viking collection. Warning - hatchet arrives VERY sharp, so be careful.
